About Palmyra Jackson

Palmyra graduated from Ed W Clark High School in Las Vegas, NV. She was Secretary of her school’s National Honor Society, Chairman of the Fashion Club and Manager of the Varsity Girls’ Swim Team. Palmyra starred in “The Wizard of Oz” and “All I Want for Christmas is You,” and won an award at the Nevada Thespian Competition. She volunteered at the Ronald McDonald House and with English Language learners. As President of the Future Educators Association, which highlights the importance of education in our society, she coordinated a dance for kids in special education programs across the school district.

SU Experience

Palmyra is double majoring in Humanities for Teaching and Cultural Anthropology. She currently serves as the Executive Vice President of the Student Government of Seattle University and volunteers at the Ethiopian Community Center. She believes that the best part about the Sullivan Leadership Program is knowing that the university is invested in you and recognizes your potential. This affirmation gives her the freedom to discover where her potentiality lies and how to maximize it not for self-satisfaction, but for others, as well.
