Mental Health and Wellness Resources for Students

Dear SU Students:  

As the end of the quarter, final exams, and the holidays approach — and the days continue to get shorter — now is a great time to consider all the great mental health and wellness support resources available to you here at Seattle University. Whether you are experiencing stress, anxiety, depression, sleep disruptions, loneliness, or other concerns, we are here to help. We hope you will consider reaching out to any of these resources that you might find helpful during your time as a Redhawk:  

CARE Team
Did you know you can refer yourself or another student to the Seattle University CARE Team for some extra support? Upon receiving your referral, we will reach out with information about support resources and an invitation to meet to talk about how things are going and how we might support you. Submit a referral for yourself or a friend here.   

TimelyCare (Virtual/Online) 
Available 24/7 
Seattle University offers access to 24/7 medical and mental telehealth for enrolled students from anywhere in the United States through our partner, TimelyCare. This service provides on-demand medical consultations, scheduled medical and counseling appointments and more with no out-of-pocket cost or insurance requirement. Counseling & Psychological Services (CAPS)

CAPS provides confidential short-term individual psychotherapy for students and referral services for those requiring specialized longer-term care.  These services are provided free of charge to enrolled students. CAPS staff are licensed to practice in Washington State only. For students who reside outside of Washington State, CAPS can assist you with referrals in your area.All clinical services are confidential.

Did you know that Seattle University has a full-service primary care clinic right here on campus in Bellarmine Hall? The Student Health Center offers medical services, immunizations, physical exams, mental health treatment, acute care, women’s health services, laboratory services, and more. All students pay a flat $5.00 visit fee to see a Nurse Practitioner, and no insurance is required. Learn more at https://www.seattleu.edu/student-health/. Visits at the Student Health Center are confidential.
