As this multifaith holiday season approaches, members of the Center for Ecumenical and Interreligious Engagement’s Advisory Council share prayers, meditations and their reflections for people in our communities all around the world for the multifaith holiday season.

We are confident that faith traditions and practices included here could be the presents/presence we all need to be inspired and feel supported. Helping people connect with the sacred for the support they need is what we do at the center.

  • Elise DeGooyer - Waiting for Light - Catholic
  • Janice Tufte - The Bird Song is Lost in Silence - Muslim
  • Prem Pahlajrai - Sanskrit prayer from Brihad-aaranyaka Upanishad - Hindu
  • Justin Almeida - Candles - Unitarian Universalist (Rev. Almeida also presented the center’s December video message, which can be found here.)
  • Rabbi Kate Speizer- Hebrew Month of Kislev - Jewish
  • Susan Tanabe - Nature - Unity
  • Mia Baumgartner - The Power of Pause - Lutheran
