Strategic Living is a local community-oriented business that provides training in situational awareness and self-defense skills including intuition honing, de-escalation, boundary setting, assertive communication and fighting techniques.

You can pick or choose which option works best for you–or attend both.

Zoom Session | Wednesday, April 13, noon-2 p.m.: To register, please provide your name and e-mail to: drm@seattleu.edu

In-person | Wednesday, April 20, 6–8 p.m., LeRoux Conference Center (STCN 160): No-pre-registration required

Learn to:

  • recognize the red flags that signal intent to do harm and often precede an assault.
  • define and maintain boundaries with confidence: boundary violations can be verbal as well as physical.
  • use assertive communication and de-escalation techniques: we can deter potential violence by using our voices and bodies to create strength and space.
  • hone and trust intuition: our "gut" instinct is a survival tool; we are often taught to ignore it and be polite.
  • Strike primary targets with 100 percent commitment both physically and by using the power of your voice.
