You are invited to Grace Stuewe’s Senior Cello Recital. They will be playing selections from Bach, Schubert, Messiaen, Angélica Negrón and Elgar, and will be accompanied by Seattle-based pianist Joseph Williams. The hour-long concert will have a 10-minute intermission. The event is also open to the public and free to all.

About the Artist: Grace Stuewe is a multi-instrumentalist, singer and songwriter originally from Chicago. They have been playing cello since the age of eight and came to Seattle U to study music and psychology in 2018. Stuewe plays many instruments, including guitar, piano, electric bass and voice—but cello was their first love. They have played in orchestras throughout their childhood and been a part of the string chamber music program at Seattle U since 2018, but this will be their first solo cello concert. They are passionate about bringing a fresh and modern perspective to classical music and will be receiving their master’s degree in music therapy at Colorado State after graduating this year.
