Dr. Allison Henrich Speaks on the Humanizing Gift of Mathematics

In this podcast, Dr. Allison Henrich speaks about the beauty of math, overcoming math anxiety, and the discipline's capacity to help us succeed in many areas of life. Henrich discusses social location and transcending societal messages that reinforce limitations in math and life. She says: "I think a lot of those same skills that help you be successful in math can help you be successful in other realms."

Henrich studied Mathematics and Philosophy at the University of Washington and has a Ph.D. in Mathematics from Dartmouth College. She has been on the faculty at SU since 2009.
