A Spring Retreat for Women in Mission: Tender and Fierce: Longing for Wholeness

Posted: March 16, 2022

*Saturday, April 9-Sunday, April 10
Camp Burton, Vashon Island
Marilyn Nash and Andrea Fontana, facilitators
Register by Friday, April 1

Our hearts are longing for Joy…for Justice…for Wholeness.

In the midst of fatigue, grief, struggle, dominant culture and circumstances that have demanded our resilience, we will gather to remember that in our bodies, we hold both sacred tenderness and fierce, creative love. Through shared rituals and stories, we will honor our desire for healing and compassion, as well as the wild, beautiful power of the Divine Feminine, who in turn longs to break forth in and among us like a green shoot in spring.

Join this supportive group of Seattle University faculty and staff women who gather for intentional reflection and community-building across disciplines, departments and units. Whether you are new to or familiar with Women in Jesuit Mission, please consider attending.

*Because women have busy lives and multiple commitments, there are two options for this retreat:

  • One day-only option – Saturday, April 9 | 9:45 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
  • Two-day overnight option – Saturday, April 9, 9:45 a.m.-Sunday, April 10 at 11:30 a.m., single or double occupancy rooms.

See the registration form for more details.

Give yourself the gift of time away for renewal, reflection and authentic connection in community (in person, at last!).

If you have any questions or would like to volunteer to help out with the retreat, please contact Jen Tilghman-Havens or Andrea Fontana.

Sponsored by the Center for Jesuit Education.
