From online screenings to individual consultations, and special events, we offer the education and support you need to be successful at SU. 

Student Health Center: Get on-campus healthcare at minimal cost for many health and wellness needs. 

Student Insurance: Domestic graduate students may purchase health insurance by going to JCB Insurance Solutions. International graduate students should contact the International Student Center for information regarding cost and coverage levels. More information about voluntary enrollment or enrolling dependents can be found at the Student Health Center.

Covid Vaccination/Exemption 

  • All SU students must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 and report it to the university prior to arriving on campus. Students with documented medical, religious, or philosophical exemptions will be accommodated and not required to receive the vaccine. 
  • Students (non-law) seeking an exemption must submit a completed exemption form signed by a healthcare provider to the Student Health Center. Exemption forms and instructions are available here. International students or those coming from areas where vaccines are not available will receive assistance accessing the vaccine upon arrival and will be required to follow enhanced safety protocols until fully vaccinated.

Covid TestKing County offers free Covid testing.  

Wellness and Health PromotionThis SU team offers tips on nutrition, sleep, and mental health including free access to the Sanvello mental wellness app. 

University Recreation (UREC): UREC at SU works to create an accessible environment celebrating the diversity of our campus community. Grad students can explore the Cascade mountains, try a Cardio Dance class, hop on a treadmill or go for a swim. UREC provides programming that fits into your life, interests, and needs. 

Campus Ministry: Whatever your religious, secular, or spiritual identity, Campus Ministry provides community to gather in friendship, and discernment of what one’s purpose is in life. Graduate students can join retreats, service, liturgy and worship, immersions, social justice education, and reflection activities.

Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS)Graduate students can access free, time-limited individual and group psychotherapy from our licensed clinicians and receive referral services for specialized or ongoing care.  

Alcohol and Addiction SupportDo you have questions? SU offers accurate information and links to local supports. 

Healthy RelationshipsSU offers support to build healthy relationships, and provides free tampons and pads, free STD tests, and mandatory training on sexual misconduct for all students and employees.
