A National Honor Society for First-Generation College Students.

New for the 2020-2021 academic year, The Seattle University chapter of Alpha Alpha Alpha (Tri-Alpha) is the first chapter in Washington State.

We hope you'll apply to be part of our inaugural leadership team and membership.


Interested in becoming part of the Chapter Leadership Team?

We're looking for first-gen students who want to lead the chapter.

  • Leadership Team members must meet member qualifications.


Member Qualifications:

  • The student has earned at least 36 credit/semester hours (or 54 quarter hours) towards a baccalaureate degree

  • The undergraduate student has achieved an overall undergraduate GPA of at least 3.2 on a 4.0 scale.

  • Neither of the student's parents, nor step-parents, nor legal guardians, completed a bachelor's degree

  • Graduate students who are first-generation students can be admitted if they have completed the equivalent of at least one term of study (9 or more graduate credits) and have a GPA in their graduate program of at least 3.5.
