Health Insurance Requirement and Waiver

 Seattle University requires all full-time (enrolled in 12 or more credits) undergraduates to have health insurance.  Seattle University contracts the Student Health Insurance Plan through Wells Fargo Insurance Services.

  • If you have your own health insurance plan with comparable coverage and would like to remove the health insurance charge from your account, you must successfully submit an online waiver at the above link. 
  • If you intend to enroll in the Wells Fargo Insurance Plan then please use the above link and confirm your intent to enroll in the insurance plan through Wells Fargo. 

The annual (September 1, 2014 – September 1, 2015) premium of $1502.30 will be billed to the student's account and will automatically be added to students tuition statements. Students who enter in winter or spring quarter will pay a prorated premium.  Waivers must be submitted each new academic year to avoid being charged the student health insurance fee.

Waivers must be submitted online (no paper, mail-in, fax-in or call-in waivers are allowed) at the web address provided above by the last day to add/drop courses in the student's first full time quarter.  NO late waivers or exceptions will be accepted after the due date.
