Winter Quarter Pre-Arrival COVID Test Requirement

Residential students and students coming onto campus for any purpose will be required to have a negative COVID-19 test within five days of their scheduled arrival on-campus. 

Who needs to be tested

Any undergraduate, graduate, or law student who plans to be physically on the campus

For example:

• Living in residence halls
• Enrolled in classes meeting in person
• Any plans for meeting up with faculty, staff, or other students in person
• Accessing services such as the library and Redhawk dining

Who does not need to be tested

Anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 90 days.

Timing of Test

Within 5 days of return to campus. Commuter students will not have access to campus buildings until documentation of COVID testing has been reviewed.

Required Test

PCR for SARS CoV-2 that has received FDA EUA (emergency use authorization). PCR is preferred but antigen testing will be accepted

• Tests that are NOT acceptable are antibody testing (IgG, IgM)

Required Documentation

Lab reports will be needed which include:

• Student’s name and date of birth
• Type of the test administered
• Results
• Name and address of lab

Management of Results

All students will need to upload the results to patient portal under “immunizations” (for detailed steps see FAQs). If you are unable to test due to COVID infection in last 90 days, upload a copy of your positive test results to the patient portal.
