?Seattle University?s School of Theology and Ministry is proud to welcome Coury Shadyac to the staff team as Director of Development. Coury comes to Seattle from Washington D.C., with a background in development and education?having most recently served as Managing Director of Development for Teach for America. Coury holds a Bachelor of Arts in Middle East Studies and Religious Studies and a Minor in Arabic.

Here at Seattle University, Coury is able to couple her seven years of education fundraising experience with her higher education. She says, ?Joining the team here feels like a homecoming. Working to share the Seattle University's mission to teach the leaders of tomorrow to impact a just and humane world, and the School of Theology and Ministry's evolution as a beacon for interreligious dialogue, teaching, and ministry inspires me every day.?

Coury has a deep passion for sharing the realities of educational impact to supporters and community members. Some fun facts about Coury include that she is a diehard sports fan--especially professional football and college basketball, and she originally wanted to enter the CIA or Foreign Service. Feel free to stop by the second floor of Hunthausen Hall and welcome Coury if you haven?t already!
