Week of Prayer 2016, 1/18-1/25

April 2, 2016
For over a century and around the world, Christians across traditions and denominations have gathered together over the eight days of January 18-25. This “Week of Prayer” creates space for followers of Jesus to join Jesus’ own prayer for their unity, shared so beautifully in the Gospel of John, chapter 17.

Seattle University’s School of Theology and Ministry partners with the Church Council of Greater Seattle and the Archdiocese of Seattle to plan daily Week of Prayer gatherings as well as a regional prayer serviceeach year.

Each year, a different community from around the world chooses the theme. This year's theme was selected by the churches of Lativa: "Called to proclaim the mighty acts of God.'" 1 Peter 2.9, NRSV
This year, on Thursday, January 21, 2016 from 7:00-8:30pm, Seattle University will host the regional gathering.
