Serve the Community with Jesuit Volunteer EnCorps

July 5, 2016

Seattle University and Jesuit Volunteer Corps (JVC) Northwest are joining together to offer SU alumni and friends a unique opportunity to serve the greater good within our local communities. Grounded in Jesuit values, this new program supports the spiritual growth of members in an open and affirming community.

Jesuit Volunteer EnCorps, a program of JVC Northwest, facilitates transformative opportunities for intentional service, community and spiritual formation for adults ages 50 and older who are committed to social and ecological justice.

The program begins in September 2016 with an opening retreat followed by monthly community meetings.  During the ten months of part-time volunteer service, participants:

  • Meet monthly for personal and spiritual growth
  • Share about their volunteer experiences
  • Explore the values of simple living and social and ecological justice

This group of Seattle University alumni and friends will meet at Seattle University.
Join us to grow in service and spirituality, while deepening your impact on the larger Seattle U community.
