School of Theology and Ministry Student Receives Provost Award

July 18, 2016

At the Seattle University graduate commencement ceremony, students from each of the school’s graduate programs are celebrated in the presence of faculty, staff, friends, and family and conferred their diploma. During the ceremony one of the School of Theology and Ministry’s very own students, Kathleen Hosfeld of the Master of Arts in Transforming Spirituality program received one of the highest academic distinctions conferred by the university at commencement. The Provost’s award for graduate student excellence is given to the Seattle University graduate student who has maintained the highest grade point average throughout his or her program and also demonstrated outstanding leadership. Kathleen is currently serving as the Executive Director of Homestead Community Land Trust, an organization that preserves and advance access to permanently affordable homeownership as a means to creating health, equitable and inclusive communities. She is the first student from the School of Theology and Ministry to receive this honor. Congratulations on this honor, Kathleen!
