Remembering Jaqueline Andrews

May 6, 2016

We are deeply saddened by the unexpected passing of Master of Divinity student Jaqueline Sephora Andrews. The school community joined with her family at remembrance service celebrating Jaqueline’s life on Thursday, May 5 in the Ecumenical Chapel.

Jaqueline was a passionate person of faith, with roots in the Baptist tradition and current membership in the United Church of Christ, and she had many years of active ministry.  This work included youth ministry, outreach to those affected by domestic abuse, and ministry within the armed forces as an Associate Minister.  Jaqueline served ten years in the United States Navy, and was deployed in Iraq.

Jaqueline was a thoughtful, kind and inquiring student, well regarded by her fellow students and professors.  She will be dearly missed.  She is survived by two loving children including a daughter, Jamilah and a son, Meshach Lacl, as well as her grandparents, parents, and other relatives.
