This Summer Quarter, current student Nils Ringo-Pennino will be taking over @seattleustm on Instagram--offering the latest #studenttakeover series of photos that chronicle “A Day in the Life of a Student.”
We look forward to following Nils this quarter, as he navigates the MA in Couples & Family Therapy program. Many thanks to Master of Divinity-Chaplaincy student, Missy Trull, who served as our #studenttakeover this past Spring Quarter! Nils enjoys basketball, books, good food, and nature. He and his spouse, Francesca, moved to Seattle last summer from Madison, Wisconsin so he could begin his Master’s program at Seattle U. The MA in Couples & Family Therapy program has been a great fit and experience for Nils. He immensely values the program’s approach of holding space for both the client’s and the therapist’s whole person – mind, spirit, body, relationships, and other resources and strengths. He enjoys learning clinical knowledge while investing energy into his formation as a therapist and compassionate human being.
Nearing the end of his first year of the program, he hopes to find rest in his summer rhythm before he begins his clinical internship at Valley Cities this Fall. Summer fun will include a cross-country road trip to attend weddings and to visit family; frequent dog-walks; eating outside with family and friends; and hopefully catching some Mariners games.
