In order to support the exploration of Catholic thought and culture through various disciplines, the Institute for Catholic Thought and Culture (ICTC) co-sponsors events on campus and in the community, engaging the intersection of Catholicism with disciplines ranging from sociology and business to history and gender studies.

If you have an interest in the Spiritual Exercises of Saint Ignatius and would like to know more about how it could learn from Zen, or if you have an interest in Zen and would like to know more about how it could learn from the Spiritual Exercises, we would like to invite you to Ignatius and Zen: Spiritual Exercises.

It will be hosted by Ruben Habito, a pioneer, both in practice and theory, of the interrelation and mutual illumination between the Spiritual Exercises and Zen meditation. That is a rare opportunity to participate in the dialogue between these two venerable practices.
