This next month, Seattle University?s School of Theology and Ministry will host a week-long international conference in partnership with the Lutheran World Federation on the topic of ?Religious Identity & Renewal: Jewish, Christian & Muslim Explorations.? A select group of interreligious scholars and faith community leaders from across the globe will gather at Seattle University the week of August 10th. Attendees will explore the meaning of religious identity and renewal in light of current cultural demands?interpreting past, present, and future challenges to themselves, society and the world. The conference will provide theological reflection from the Jewish, Christian and Muslim traditions, including theological perspectives of renewal shaped by their tradition?s concept of God, God?s presence and God?s action.

The school?s Dr. Michael Reid Trice, Rev. Dr. Michael Kinnamon, and Rabbi Anson Laytner will be facilitating conversations in sessions throughout the week, along with others from South Africa, India, Indonesia, Germany, Israel, Tanzania, Sweden and other countries. Stay tuned for more updates after the conference!
