Talking Faith & Money: Student Forum Event on October 4

September 14, 2017

The Talking Faith & Money: Student Forum event is a series of special topics forums being hosted by the School of Theology and Ministry’s Economics & Pastoral Leadership Project to engage STM students in conversation around the theme of faith and money.

The event titled, “What To Do When Financial Disaster Hits You,” will feature guest speaker, Dr. Mark Markuly, Dean of the School of Theology and Ministry since July 2007. Markuly directed an international graduate distance education program at Loyola University New Orleans. He has written extensively in newspapers, magazines and journals, and taught and lectured nationally and internationally on a range of topics, including the theological and spiritual significance of learning and brain research, religion and society, and theology and economics. Markuly is also a former carpenter, owner of a high-tech design-build construction company, and journalist.

Open to School of Theology and Ministry students, this opportunity will give participants insights on how to creatively respond when financial disasters hit, and will receive suggested tools and resources to help them prepare for financial disasters before they happen.
