Manuel J. Mejido is a former United Nations official who has over fifteen years of experience combining research, policy work and advocacy in the field of international development.  In addition to serving as Center director, Dr. Mejido is also on the faculty of the School of Theology and Ministry, teaching courses that explore the role of religion and faith-based organizations in civic life.  To learn more about Dr. Mejido’s research and publications, please visit his

Margaret "Maggie" Breen fosters and manages partnerships with regional faith-based organizations and other stakeholders to ensure Center scholarship and initiatives are responsive to the dynamics and needs of the Puget Sound region.  She empowers practitioners to integrate new knowledge towards more effective and thoughtful institutional responses to social issues. Breen brings experience in the translation and communication of complex ideas across diverse stakeholder groups as well as skills in relationship building, program design and implementation, research and analysis, and community outreach and organizing.
