Executive Director, Interfaith Association of Northwest Washington
Jim Dean has been the Executive Director of the Interfaith Association for Northwest Washington since July 1st, 2017. In the seven years prior to his appointment, he served as a board member and president. Interfaith NW has been running The Family Shelter for 21 years. Jim’s passion for people and homelessness have guided him to his current vocation.
Jim retired from the field of education immediately prior to his appointment as Executive Director, after serving 25 years as a school principal and teacher, and as an administrator for 13 years before that. Jim is married to Mary Dean. They have four children and five grandchildren. He has been active in the Everett community where he has lived for the past 20 years. Jim is an avid skier and hiker, and loves wood working and restoring his 113-year-old home near down town Everett.
