II. Systematic and Historical Theology

Fifteen credits

  • Christian Anthropology
  • Christology or Images of the Sacred
  • Theology in an Ecumenical Context
  • Hermeneutics
  • History of Ancient Christianity or History of Medieval Christianity or Christian Spirituality
  • Selective in Systematic Theology

III. Spirituality, Ethics, and Justice

Eighteen credits

  • Christian Ethics
  • Christian Sexuality
  • Ministry in a Multicultural Context
  • Contemporary Christian Spirituality and Prayer
  • Spiritual Discernment
  • Selective in Ethics or Justice

IV. Pastoral Skills and Ministerial Formation

Twenty-seven credits

  • Pastoral Care Skills
  • Fostering Communities of Faith
  • Transformational Leadership
  • Ministerial and Theological Integration I

  • Ministerial and Theological Integration III

V. Worship and Liturgy

VI. Chaplaincy Specialization

  • Counseling Theory and Techniques
  • Group Counseling Theory and Techniques
  • Systematic Treatment of Addiction and Abuse

VII. Specialization Electives

Nine credits

  • Chaplaincy I: Crisis and Trauma Counseling (3, 1 unit CPE)
  • Chaplaincy II: Grief and Loss Counseling (3, 1 unit CPE)
  • Chaplaincy III: Brief Counseling in Pastoral Care and Counseling (3, 1 unit CPE)  

VIII. General Electives (9)

Students may take up to 6 credits of Greek and 6 credits of Hebrew as electives.
