In April 2017, following a call for proposals that attracted over 120 submissions, the Center for Religious Wisdom & World Affairs convened a diverse cohort of theologians and social scientists at Seattle University to present research proposals around the following two questions:
- How can faith-based organizations more effectively and meaningfully address homelessness?
- How can the wisdom of different religious traditions be leveraged to reimagine solutions to this intractable social problem?
On April 25-27, 2018, scholars will return to Seattle University to present their projects. This work will appear in a collected volume that uniquely combines interdisciplinary curiosity, interreligious engagement and practical concerns about the role of religion in public life. The volume will be edited by Center Director Manuel Mejido and published by Fordham University Press.
