Chief Executive Officer, Jewish Family Service
Rabbi Will Berkovitz is responsible for the vision and strategic direction of Jewish Family Service. His responsibilities include program oversight and mobilization of philanthropic, volunteer and advocacy support to meet the needs of those who are most vulnerable in the Puget Sound region.
Before coming to JFS, Will was Senior Vice President and Rabbi in Residence at Repair the World. He developed innovative partnership initiatives with organizations across the United States. Will cultivated dedication to service through a Jewish lens by working with and teaching at a variety of educational institutions. Prior to Repair the World, Will served as Rabbi and Executive Director of Hillel at the University of Washington and Connect Seattle. In that capacity, he was instrumental in making innovative, post-college programming and Jewish service-learning pillars of the organization.
Will is a graduate of the Ziegler School of Rabbinic Studies. He is an opinion contributor to local and national publications. Will enjoys time with his family, working in the Polack Food Bank and welcoming refugees when they arrive at SeaTac Airport.
