Deadline for Nominations Extended to Jan. 14

Happy New Year, Staff Colleagues:

A quick Staff Council Election Update: Recognizing that many staff just returned from the holiday break, the deadline for Staff Council nominations has been extended to end of day, Monday, Jan. 14. You still have a bit more time to nominate someone (a colleague or yourself!) that you think makes a difference on campus to run for one of 19 Staff Council seats.

After the deadline, the Elections Committee will finish processing all of the nominations and finalize the election pamphlet which will contain the headshots and personal statements for all of the candidates.

The election pamphlet will be available electronically by Tuesday, Jan. 22 so that all Seattle U staff will have time to read about all of the candidates prior to the elections period.

Then the Staff Council elections will run from Monday, Jan. 28–Friday, Feb. 1. All votes must be submitted electronically prior to the end of the day on Friday, Feb 1. The names of the elected Staff Council members will be announced shortly thereafter!
