Student Financial Services staff can answer or route questions to the best person available to answer them. If the person who receives the call or e-mail is unable to provide the assistance needed, they will refer the call or email on to the person who can best provide that assistance.

This team staffs the Redhawk Axis desk in the atrium of the University Services Building, providing the first point of contact for individuals visiting the Student Financial Services Office in person, by phone or via email.
Student Financial Services Counselors have primary responsibility for working with students and their families to help them understand financial processes from beginning to end; from applying for aid to preparing and revising students' financial aid awards to offering suggestions for how students and families can cover the student's educational expenses. While students frequently develop relationships with a particular Counselor, Student Financial Services has learned that students and their families often receive quicker service by visiting the office and seeing a counselor on a walk-in basis, sending an email question to our office address or calling our main number. Although all of the Counselors assist students with financial matters, some areas of specific counselor responsibility include:
Financial Services Loan and Records Evaluators are responsible for much of the "background" work in the Student Financial Services Office. They are responsible for receipt and transmission of data between Seattle University and the federal financial aid systems, maintaining integrity between those systems. In addition to system processing and integrity, evaluators certify private educational loans and complete the federally-required verification process on students' Free Applications for Federal Student Aid (FAFSAs).
Student Account Representatives are responsible for posting payments to students' accounts and processing refunds due to students because of financial aid or overpayments on accounts. They also handle invoicing for third party sponsors, processing requests for payment plans and questions about billing and late fees.
Account Resolution Specialists are responsible for contacting former students who have outstanding debts to the University. Whenever possible, they establish special payment agreements to resolve past due debts and are responsible for referring accounts with unresolved delinquent balances to collection agencies:
