Teaching and Research Interests

  • Teaching: A wide variety of physics courses from the introductory level through upper-level laboratory and atomic physics.
  • Research: Experimental atomic physics. Static and dynamic Casimir effects, van der Waals interactions, ultracold atoms involving Li and Rb spectroscopy, electrochemical synthesis of nanowires, quantized conductance measurement, and precision force measurements using a torsion balance and a fiber-optic interferometer. Research funded by the M. J. Murdock Charitable Trust.
