The Seattle University Master of Science in Data Science is an interdisciplinary program focused on the study of data-driven decision making. Recent decades have seen a rapid expansion in data collection, and the magnitude of that data impacts every industry. The masters in data science program combines the developmental aspects of statistics and computer science to bring data analysis and modeling to bear on real-world problems. The degree program requires the completion of 45 credits.

For their capstone project, student will work in small teams to define and carry out a data science project in collaboration with industry partner.

Seattle University works with local and national tech and business partners to develop curriculums relevant to changing job markets. The MS in Data Science consults with an external Industry Advisory Board that includes representatives from: The Allen Institute, Amazon, Boeing, Facebook, The Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, Microsoft, Tableau, and many other companies and organizations in the Seattle area.
The MS in Data Science program is priced on a per-credit model to allow students to arrange their schedules to their convenience. The MSDS is 45 credits and the 2021-22 cost of the program is $913/credit. There are Graduate Scholarships available.
