Congratulations to Dr. Henry Louie for receiving the Sigma Chi Fraternity's Mark V. Anderson Character-in-Action Leadership Award for his work with KiloWatts for Humanity in Zambia. KiloWatts for Humanity, a non-profit organization founded by Dr. Louie, in partnership with Caritas Monze, implemented a 5 kilowatt solar energy kiosk in Kanchomba, Zambia. The electricity is being used to power a small shop, hair salon, barber shop, and chicken incubator. Also installed was a 1 kilowatt solar water pump. Several Seattle University students, faculty and staff helped plan, design, and fundraise for the energy kiosk.
