On November 5th, we had the pleasure of having Carrie Ann Smith (’18) speak to our students about being “Comfortable in the Uncomfortable” as part of our ECE Seminar Series. Carrie continues to find herself in tough situations and shared such experiences in being “comfortable in the uncomfortable” and how they have affected her own life.

The IEEE 2019 Pacific Northwest Young Professionals Leadership Summit was held in Seattle July 5-7, 2019. Alumna, Carrie Smith, gave a talk titled, "Comfortable in the Uncomfortable" and Prof. Henry Louie led a panel discussion titled, "Developing Leadership". This event gathered many young Electrical Engineering professionals from the pacific northwest for leadership training and community building.
