3rd Annual ECE Networking Night 2020

The Electrical and Computer Engineering department hosted a Networking Night for its students on January 27th. We had a great turnout with 32 professionals and 47 students in attendance. Michelle Avary, our Keynote Speaker, gave an informative introduction about the best practices for networking. Many great conversations and connections were made! Thank you to all the students and engineering professionals who were able to attend our event.

ECE Seminar with ECE Grad, Steve Wilson

On January 23rd, we had the pleasure of having Steve Wilson, a SU ECE Alumni, as part of our ECE Seminar Speaker Series. He provided lots of details about smart speakers and capturing sound to a room full of faculty and students. In addition, he shared his experiences about developing new audio ADC while working at Texas Instruments.

Developing Audio Integrated Circuits for Smart speakers

Speaker: Steve Wilson, SU ECE Alum, Applications Engineer, Texas Instruments The talk will provide an overview of the development process of integrated circuits for smart speakers and other voice capture applications. Explore the development of a new audio ADC from Texas instruments while learning all of the contributing roles in silicon development, Systems, Design, Applications, Test/Verification, and Product Marketing and hear about internship and career opportunities.
