  • Magical news! Professor Andrea Verdan and her Potions for Muggles course has been featured on Seattle King 5 News, facebook, and twitter. She was also interviewed here at Seattle University in The Spectator for her new Winter 2016 Harry Potter Chemistry course. Congratulations!

November 2015

  • Congratulations to Professor Sue Jackels for her Senior Scientist Mentor grant is being funded by the Dreyfus Foundation for $20,000 for two years! The projects are all on the coffee science of potato taste in East African coffee.

  • Professor Doug Latch is on sabbatical for the academic year 2015-2016 in Switzerland. We all wish him an amazing time!

  • Congratulations to Professor Joe Langenhan who received an NIH R15 (AREA) grant of ~$230K to support investigations toward the development of methodology for the synthesis of structurally homogeneous N-linked glycopeptides.

  • Professor Eric Watson S.J. is on sabbatical for the academic year 2015-2016. He will be traveling to Spain, Australia, Israel, Germany... just to name a few. We wish him the very best on his adventures!
