Teaching and Research Interests

Dr. Peet’s research has focused on deep subsurface microorganisms and their adaptation and acclimation to growth under high pressure CO2. He is broadly interested in life and environmental sciences and policy surrounding these fields. He has taught a variety of courses related to cell and molecular biology, microbiology, ecology, environmental science, global health, climate change, and sustainability. 

Biography

Dr. Peet received his B.S. in Biology and Biotechnology from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and his Ph.D. in Environmental Biology from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He has also taught at MIT and Regis College in Massachusetts before moving to Seattle.
