NCEES Awards Grand Prize in Engineering to Seattle University

Dean Michael Quinn (left) and Chair of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Agnieszka Miguel (right), received the NCEES Engineering Award Grand Prize check of $25,000 from NCEES President Patty Mamola (center) at the organization's national meeting held in Seattle in August. The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering received the nation's top prize for its project to install a wind- and solar-powered electrical microgrid system for a school and surrounding community in Muhuru Bay, Kenya.
