For the first time, seniors in environmental science will complete capstone projects secured through the Project Center. Two teams of environmental science majors will join 33 teams of engineering and computer science students, for a record 35 teams overall. One team of environmental science students, working with King County, will be assessing data sources for monitoring the restoration of Chinook salmon habitat in the Cedar and Sammamish River watersheds. The other team, working with Seattle City Light, will be developing a plan for managing non-native trees within the riparian corridor of the Skagit River near Newhalem, Washington.
