Teaching and Research Interests:
Dr. Pugh teaches analysis and design courses within the field of structural engineering. His primary teaching interests are linear and nonlinear structural analysis, structural stability, and steel design.
Prior to joining Seattle University, Josh worked for eight years as a consulting engineer primarily focused on design, analysis and retrofit of shallow and deep water offshore steel structures. Josh received his PhD in Civil/Structural Engineering from the University of Washington in 2012 and also holds a B.S. degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Marquette University and an M.S. degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin. He is a licensed professional engineer in the states of Texas and Washington.
