Friday, November 6 from 3:30 - 5:00 PM PST

A PDF of the presentation is available here: CS Seminar 6 - Presentation Materials.

Jon Bach, Senior Program Manager for Marketing Tech Quality at eBay

James Bach, Consulting Software Tester

Both Jon and James have been working for a long time in the industry. Jon works in a responsible job in a large company like Clark Kent; James roams freely like Bruce Banner. Even with their different styles, both of them have their ways of making the world a little better, despite having little official power to change anything. In this talk, they will give a couple of vivid examples, and share some key heuristics that will help you feel powerful and helpful in your work life.

Jon Bach has been working in the field of software development and testing for the last 25 years. He developed multiple software management techniques, including “Open-Book Testing” and “Session-Based Test Management”. John is known as “Jon the Bug Hunter” by eBay customers. His passion is helping software professionals improve.

James Bach has been a leading expert in software testing. James has written two books: “Secrets of a Buccaneer-Scholar”, and “Lessons Learned in Software Testing”.

Meeting details will be emailed to the faculty and students.
