Inaugural Mass

 There will not be an academic processional at the Inauguration Mass.

 

Inauguration Ceremony
Friday, September 24, 2021 | 10:00 a.m.
Registration open at 9:30 a.m.
Doors open at 10:00 a.m.
Procession & Ceremony will begin promptly at 10:30 a.m.

Parking

Guests are encouraged to carpool and park in Seattle University’s Broadway Parking Garage, which is accessible from Broadway and E Columbia Street. Visitor parking permits may be purchased virtually through the Pay By Phone app or website with location #31913. On-site permits are available at physical pay stations, located in the Visitor Lot, Broadway Garage (Level 1), or Murphy Garage (Level 1). Parking rates and more information can be found here.

Shuttles will be available to transport guests between campus and the cathedral before and after mass. Shuttles will depart from the SU Seal on the lower mall at the north end of the Jim and Janet Sinegal Center for Science and Innovation and west side of the Visitor Parking Lot.

Street parking is available, but very limited.

There is a loading zone located on the east side of the cathedral on Terry Avenue for guest drop off and pick up.

The Silver Cloud Hotel Broadway is located directly across the street from our campus. All rooms include complimentary high-speed wireless Internet access, a fitness facility and business center. Room reservations are still available as of September 15, 2021.

HEALTH & SAFETY

In accordance with Washington State mask mandates, all guests will be required to wear face masks at all times indoors and out, regardless of vaccination status except while actively eating or drinking.

At this time, all patrons attending an event at Benaroya Hall will be required to show proof of vaccination. For children under age 12 and anyone with a medical condition or closely held religious belief that prevents vaccination, proof of a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken within 48-hours of the event start time must be shown.
