Dear Students, Faculty and Staff,
As Seattle University closes tomorrow in observance of Veterans Day, let us all pause and reflect with gratitude upon the courage and commitment of our women and men in uniform.
Many students, alumni, faculty and staff and others affiliated with Seattle U have served, or are serving, in the armed forces. While I think we would all agree that engaging in armed conflict is not something we would ever hope to see, we can and should take pride in the integrity, professionalism and selflessness with which members of our SU family have served, and continue to serve, our country.
Tomorrow please take a moment to consider the sacrifices all veterans have made to assure that those of us who are civilians can live in freedom and security. And let us always keep them and their loved ones in our thoughts and prayers.
