Our Context: Drivers, Constraints and Springboards

We believe that effective strategic planning requires a clear understanding of the parameters and context within which that planning takes place. The purpose of this part of our website is to bring together documents that in different ways bear upon and influence our planning.

The documents below include letters from Fr. Sundborg, ”The Jesuit Character of Seattle University” and “Parameters for Planning” requested by the steering committee co-chairs as part of the work to define context, key university reports that this process should reflect and carry forward (the Report of the Task Force on Diversity and Inclusive Excellence, the Mission Examen, the NWCCU self-study, and the Academic Affairs Operations Review), responses to surveys of faculty and staff, information relating to the purposes of Jesuit education, and other data and reports that help us understand the environment and competitive market within which we operate.

If you have any questions related to these documents, please email strategicplanning@seattleu.edu with your inquiry.
