Excellence in Leadership Awards
Makes contributions that support and serve the mission, vision, and values of the university and its strategic priorities; demonstrates exemplary work behaviors, leadership, and commitment to excellence, and inspires others to excel; demonstrates awareness and appreciation of individual differences; promotes inclusiveness and collaboration; treats others with respect and dignity, and recognizes the unique importance of all persons.
Formerly known as the Lee Thurber Award, two awards are given—one for exempt employees, the other for non-exempt.
Living the Mission Award
Recognizes an individual who exemplifies the university’s mission in outstanding ways, whether through their personal conduct, their treatment of others or their life choices.
Spark of Spirit Award
Given to an individual who has had an uplifting and positive influence on colleagues across the university within the past year.
Outstanding Staff Team Award
Recognizes outstanding work performed by a team or group of three or more staff members on campus.
James B. McGoldrick, S.J., Fellowship
Father McGoldrick devoted 50 years of distinguished teaching and dedicated service to Seattle University. The fellowship, given to faculty who share his commitment to the university’s students and the values of a Jesuit education, is the most prestigious honorSU confers upon faculty.
