Areas of Interest

Dr. Palazzo’s current research and scholarship focuses on developing and implementing a sustainable interdisciplinary cardiovascular prevention science program aimed at creating a culture of health in adolescents from under-resourced communities. Teen Take Heart (TTH) www.teentakeheart.org was developed in partnership with the Hope Heart Institute. Dr. Palazzo is keenly interested in establishing multidimensional service-learning opportunities for faculty and students interested in improving adolescent health literacy.
