Hey, how’s it going!? My name is Johnny Fikru and I’m super stoked to be one of the 2015 Orientation Coordinators. Seattle’s been my home for the majority of my life and I’m happy to be a part of the welcoming community at SU. I am a senior and will be getting a degree in Political Science with a Spanish Minor. Nine times out of ten you can catch me at the Lemieux Library working hard for those good grades.  If I’m not too busy with the books, or listening to Drake, I’m probably somewhere on the Mountain Loop Highway exploring spectacular hiking trails with my friends. Get excited y’all because Washington is a beautiful place.  Welcome home Class of 2019.  Can’t wait to meet you and Go Redhawks!!

Hi! My name is Kaylyn Armstrong-Shiira and I am so excited to be one of the 2015 Orientation Coordinators! I am a junior Sociology major with a minor in Strategic Communications, although I started my career here at SU as a pre-major. I was born and raised on the small, but beautiful, island of Kauai in Hawaii and somehow found my way to Seattle. Although I miss my tan and the beach during the rainy winter months, Seattle has become my second home. When I'm not in the New Student and Family Programs office, working in the calling room at Tell-A-Hawk, or studying for class you can find me hanging out with friends or at home watching How I Met Your Mother and playing my ukulele. I love to eat out and going to concerts, though my wallet doesn't find it as fun. I am so excited to show off all of what this city and Seattle University has to offer to the class of 2019!

    Orientation Coordinator
Hello, I am Gavin Johnston, one of your orientation coordinators for this year. I am thrilled to be a part in welcoming you, Class of 2019, to the Seattle University Community. Originally from the suburbs of Portland, Oregon, I am an Economics Major and Theology minor who loves the pacific northwest and rarely ties his shoes. You'll most likely find me in the bistro, (I love cheese) or possibly popping out of bushes all over campus; I work as a Student Gardener on our beautiful campus. I love soccer, debates and puns. I like to get off campus on my bike or with my friends looking for new great places to eat. Seattle University has been a place of growth and exploration for me, and I absolutely love it here. I cannot wait to share my love and my home with y'all. Hurry up and get here already.

    Orientation Coordinator
Hi there! My name is Maggie Chvilicek and I’m so excited to be an Orientation Coordinator for 2015. I am originally from the Apple Capital of the World, Wenatchee, Washington and I am pursuing a Humanities for Teaching degree with minors in English and Psychology. I spend a lot of time studying in the Byte or the library’s quiet room (kind of opposite environments), but in my free time I enjoy running, spending time with my friends, and walking around campus looking for dogs. I am also a peer advisor for Matteo Ricci College and serve on the steering team for SU’s Dance Marathon. Living in Seattle has been a big change and a fun adventure and I can’t wait to share it with all of SU’s incoming students. I love this Redhawk family and I am excited and grateful for the opportunity to welcome the class of 2019!
