The front cover of The American Journal of Physics February 2015 issue features research by an SU professor and students: Andy Kim, assistant professor of physics (left); lead author Marie Pahlmeyer (senior double major in physics and mechanical engineering); Andrew Hankins (physics major who is now in the physics PhD program at Georgetown); and Sam Tuppan (senior physics major). Titled "Scanning capacitance microscopy using a relaxation oscillator," their article can be found here. Aimed at physics pedagogy, The American Journal of Physics  is considered the foremost publication of its kind.
