Ki Gottberg, professor of theatre and chair of the Department of Performing Arts and Arts Leadership, has written and directed a play, "The Last Salmon," which is appearing at the Merc Playhouse in Twisp, Wash. Described in part, the play "uses contemporary music styles such as hip-hop and indie-pop to tell a story that begins with the Native American First Salmon ceremony." Gottberg received a grant from Center for Environmental Justice and Sustainability to support her work in writing the play. You can read about the play in Methow Valley News.
