Henry Louie, assistant professor of electrical and computer engineering, presented  the paper, “Estimating Aggregate Wind Plant Capacity from Historical Time Series Data” at the North American Power Symposium in Starkville, Miss. Louie has also been appointed to the Governing Board of the IEEE Power and Energy Society (PES) as a member at-large.

The PES is an international professional society with more than 25,000 members and is the world’s largest forum for sharing the latest in technological developments in the electric power industry, for developing standards that guide the development and construction of equipment and systems, and for educating members of the industry and the general public.

Louie is one of 23 Governing Board members and is perhaps the youngest person ever to be appointed to the board.
