Donna Horn, manager of operations and quality, served on the team that developed the national Girl Scout Learning and Development Conference. She also presented at the conference, which took place at Girl Scout Conference Center in Briarcliff Manor, N.Y. One of the pre-conference options was an immersion into an ethnic neighborhood in New York City. Her group explored Little India in the Jackson Heights section of Queens. The majority of the attendees at the conference were professional staff from councils throughout the country who work with adult volunteers serving as council trainers.
