Built in the late 1940s originally as a Canada Dry bottling plant and acquired by Seattle U in the mid-1960s for a bookstore and offices, the University Services building was demolished this month to make way for the new Center for Science and Innovation.

Following the demolition, construction of Seattle U’s new Center for Science and Innovation will begin and continue through spring of 2021. During spring and summer of 2021, the focus will shift to renovations in the Bannan Science and Engineering buildings. During that same time period, the new building will be furnished, and lab equipment, faculty and staff will move in for the start of the 2021 Fall Quarter. Read more about the Center for Science and Innovation.
