Electrical and Computer Engineering Professor Henry Louie, PhD, is the recipient of an award from the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) for outstanding leadership in IEEE global humanitarian projects. Louie, who has done extensive work in his field in projects across the world, was honored for “sustained, impactful and passionate global contributions in the area of energy poverty alleviation.” The mission of IEEE is “advancing technology for the benefits of humanity.”
